The 12th Annual Oiler Open kicked off the 2024 season on Thursday, August 22 at The Huntington Club with 14 of our 18 players making the day. The girls started on #10 on a breezy, HOT afternoon in Surf City. The back nine start isn't usually on the menu, but with new management at THC we may see more of it. It plays a little tougher than the front, but in our humble opinion features the best holes on the course. Most of the girls are returning from last season with the exception of three new players: Mi Nguyen, Sienna Shortle and Ealyn Wang. Welcome to the team, girls! 

We had some solid play throughout the tournament and should have very competitive Varsity and JV teams. The top 5 scores were among 6 players.  Lexi Untalan landed at 5^th place with a 47, Lizzie Rodriguez was next with a 46, while Chloe Kumpis and Annika Wang split the third-place money (oops no betting). Sophie Thibodeau shot a 43 for second place and the Medalist of the match went to our new player Ealyn (The Stick) Wang who took the trophy home with a 3 over 39.
